Prepare with a clear plan

Mock Driving Tests

Find out how ready you feel

A mock driving test gives you a chance to put your learning together in a more independent drive. It can help you become familiar with test-style instructions, manage nerves and identify the areas that still need practice.

At Pass Fast, the aim is useful feedback. You will leave with a clearer understanding of your strengths and the next steps to work on, rather than relying on a good drive on one familiar route.

A mock is a training session. It does not book or replace your official practical driving test.

A 90-minute mock session costs £67.50; a two-hour session costs £90. The appointment includes briefing and feedback, so the full booking time is not spent on the mock drive itself.

We will agree the format, pick-up point and vehicle arrangements before booking. Official practical test fees and any separate test-day vehicle use are not included. A mock result does not guarantee a pass in the official test.

What your mock session covers

A realistic starting point

Before the drive, agree how the session will run and what feedback you will receive. A mock is most useful when you can already manage the car and common road situations with little help.

Follow instructions calmly

Practice listening to directions while keeping your attention on the road. You can work on following signs or a sat nav as appropriate, and dealing safely with a missed turn.

Bring your skills together

Apply your observation, speed choice and positioning across a range of roads and traffic situations. The focus is consistent, safe decisions rather than memorising a route.

Manoeuvres and safety checks

Review the vehicle safety questions and practice a parking or reversing exercise. Good observation and control matter throughout, including when stopping and moving away again.

Understand your feedback

Discuss what went well and where decisions or routines need attention. Feedback helps you recognise recurring patterns and turn an uncertain result into a focused practice plan.

Plan your next lessons

Use the findings to prioritise the skills that need more work. A follow-up mock can help you review progress, but your preparation should cover different situations and conditions too.

Why Choose a Mock Driving Test?

  • Become more comfortable with a test-style drive.
  • Bring your driving skills together independently.
  • Identify hazards and decisions that need more practice.
  • Discuss nerves and prepare a calmer approach.
  • Turn feedback into a focused practice plan.
  • Review readiness without relying on a familiar route.

A mock gives your learning a useful checkpoint. Driving with fewer prompts can reveal which routines are secure and where your attention or planning still needs work.

The value is in the feedback and what you do next. One strong drive is encouraging, but safe, consistent decisions across different roads and conditions remain the goal.

A preparation plan based on your driving

Tell us how independently you currently drive, any test date you have booked and the situations you want to check. If you still need regular help, further lessons may be more useful before arranging a full mock.

After the session, use the feedback to prioritise your practice. You can return to driving lessons for targeted work and arrange another mock when it would help you review progress.

Routes and traffic conditions vary. The aim is to prepare you to make safe decisions, rather than predict an examiner’s route or promise a particular result.

Frequently asked questions

No. It is a training session with an instructor. It does not replace the practical test and cannot award a driving licence.

It is most useful when you can drive independently with little prompting. If you still need regular help, more lessons may be a better next step.

No route can be guaranteed. The aim is to prepare you for a variety of roads and safe decisions, not to predict your examiner’s route.

A 90-minute session is £67.50 and a two-hour session is £90. Both include briefing and feedback within the appointment time. Official practical test fees and separate test-day vehicle use are not included.

No. A mock is a snapshot of your driving on the day. Consistency across lessons and independent decisions are more useful than a single result.

Mistakes help identify what to practice. Your instructor can intervene if needed for safety and will discuss the learning points with you afterwards.

A mock can make the format feel more familiar. Tell us what worries you so the session and feedback can focus on practical ways to prepare.

Choose a 90-minute or two-hour appointment. The session includes briefing, the drive and feedback, with the format agreed beforehand. The longer option gives more time to discuss and work on selected areas afterwards.
